About Our Program
It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce the official launch of Stanton University’s Athletics and Recreational Program. We plan to compete in the USCAA in our first full year of competition. The program’s long term goal is to be dual members of the USCAA and the NAIA, beginning Fall of 2024. Our team mascot is California’s majestic Tule elk. Our team colors are navy blue, black, white, and gray. We will be known as the Stanton University Fighting Elks. Our official athletics website will be launched by January 2023.
Mission
First and foremost, the mission of the Stanton University Athletics and Recreation Program is to enrich the lives of our students, faculty, and staff members by providing opportunities to participate and support intercollegiate and recreational sports. As a university, we are fully committed to helping our student athletes maximize their college experience through athletic competition while also providing the rest of our Stanton family something they can support and be extremely proud of.
Team Offerings
In order to maximize the opportunities for participation, we will sponsor both varsity and club sports. For the winter and spring semesters of 2023, we will launch club soccer. We will then follow that with club and varsity programs for men and women’s golf, basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, and volleyball starting in the 2023-24 season.
