Diogo Pereira is the returing Men’s Soccer Head Coach for Stanton University. Last season he had an incredible first season leading the Elks to a conference championship in their first ever post-season. During the regular season, Coach Pereira faced off against the likes of Biola, Chapman Univerity and Westcliff. Coach Pereira is originally from Portugal and is one of the best international recruiters for college soccer.

Stanton University hires Tamara McDonald as Men’s Basketball Head Coach. Breaking barriers, The Elks and Coach Tam will be one of a handful of programs nationwide where a woman will lead a Men’s Basketball team. With over a decade of collegiate coaching experience, she’s had assistant coach/head coach tenures at the likes of Cal Poly Pomona, Citrus College, University of Washington (NCAA D1, Pac-12) and Loyola Marymount (NCAA D1).
As a former standout player at Pepperdine, McDonald earned multiple All-WCC selections and was named WCC Player of the Year in 2003. Her leadership and basketball background will take the Elks further than before.

Stanton Fighting Elks hire Steven Jerome as Head Coach for Women’s Basketball. Born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida. A 3 Sport athlete in high school (Basketball, Football, Track), breaking records for both track and also football. Former standout at Santa Barbara City College and Butte College, earning a football scholarship to Henderson State University (NCAA D2). After a season ending injury, Steven rehabbed and earned a scholarship to Davenport University (NCAA D2), where he finished his collegiate career. He then pursued the CFL but chose to continue coaching basketball and training athletes. Coach Jerome has his own training business since 2020 (BTA Elite Academy) and have been coaching basketball since 2015. He started as an AAU coach, coaching all grade levels(1st-12th) , having success winning championships and helping players move on to the next level. Coach Jerome was given the opportunity to continue to grow and coach Junior High school before becoming the Head boys varsity coach at Oroville high school (2021-2023). The Elks are looking forward to an incredible season.

Elks hire Giovanni Fragalle as the incoming Men’s and Women’s Tennis Head Coach for Stanton University. Coach Fragalle comes from Sao Carlos, Brazil where he grew up playing professional tennis. Fragalle played four years of college tennis in the US and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing from Holy Names University, and an MBA from Dominican University.
Coach Fragalle reached the semi finals of the conference tournament with the men’s and women’s program at Westcliff University in 2022 and won the conference tournament with both programs qualifying for the NAIA Nationals in 2023. He also coached one year at Holy Names University NCAA Division 2 program before the university announced their campus closure.

Stanton University hires Ruben Gonzalez as Women’s Soccer Head Coach. Gonzalez, who also has coached at Cal State Los Angeles, Rio Hondo College, Pius X, St. John Bosco and Bellflower, has posted a 321-26-22 record at Cerritos, winning state titles in 2007-08 and from 2012-16. He won 7 State Championships and 5 National Championships. He’s a two-time winner of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s junior college coach of the year award. Also won multiple coaching of the year awards in college and High School. He won two CIF girls titles at Bishop Amat High School. The Elks are looking forward to an incredible season.
